I have had the opportunity to teach a range of geosciences courses, in a classroom, lab and field setting. I have experience teaching traditional field geology (including field mapping, structural geology, stratigraphy and mineral/rock identification) and teaching geoscience labs (including microscope work, reading rock cores, and mathematical/quantitative techniques). In 2019 and 2022 I co-taught an Honors College course which involved taking a small group of Penn State students to Thailand to learn about natural hazards that the Thai population face and ways to mitigate these hazard. I also co-taught and designed lecture and lab material for an upper-level undergraduate Plate Tectonics class at Penn State, which was aimed at introducing students to concepts of Plate Tectonics and the quantification of tectonic and geological processes.
